William Stukeley School LED Case Study

The Brief – LED Lighting

We were asked to assess all areas of the school for a change to LED lighting. The main aim of the project was to improve overall lighting quality and reduce energy consumption. It was essential for any installation to not disrupt the day to day running of the school

Key Targets

  • Improve overall lighting quality
  • Reduce energy costs
  • Installation without disruption to the school
  • Fast payback

The Solution

We completed a full energy survey demonstrating the types of LED fittings that could be used along with the savings that would be made from the new fittings.

The overall payback including maintenance savings came in at 3.4 years, meaning the school could self-fund the project, this also meant the school were able to upgrade their external lighting to LED as well.

Installation was completed over a weekend so there was no disruption at all to the school.

“From the outset, Spencer and his team have been professional and efficient; every delivery arrived as scheduled and the works commenced as detailed.

In one weekend, Spencer’s team replaced in excess of 200 lights and apart from the massive improvement in the lighting of our school, you would have hardly noticed they’d been here; thank you and well done!

We look forward to reviewing our savings on lighting.
