We were asked to look at all areas of the school, with the aim of reducing energy consumption and improving light quality. It was requested that there be no disruption to school life, so ideally during school summer holidays.
In the classrooms and corridors the existing light fittings were either too old or not in the best possible location for maximum light. This enabled use of our New LED fixed ceiling baton lights. The existing fittings were removed and replaced with brand new LED light units. We also used our LED Grill Panels where possible in staff room, kitchen and other areas and on all ground floor classrooms.
In all WC’s we used our New Intelligent Sensor lights to replace the existing 2D fittings. These maximise efficiency by only using the power needed to boost ambient light levels, or to illuminate when occupancy is detected. The improvement in light quality is significant.
The installation took place during the school summer holiday and was handed back to the school clean and tidy before the children returned to school. Installation was swift and problem free and all were more than happy with the end results.
