Fleetwood Lane LED Case Study

The Brief – LED Lighting

We were asked to look at all areas of the school’s lighting, with the aim of reducing energy consumption and improving light quality.

Key Targets

  • Reduction of energy usage
  • Improvement of light quality
  • Payback of 5 years or less (for Salix compliance)
  • No disruption to day to day running of the school
  • Needs of students taken into account

The Solution

We carried out a full survey of the school’s current usage and future needs. We identifed that all of its lights could be replaced with advanced LED light fittings.

We undertook the installation during night shifts, to ensure the school day ran normally.

The Brief – LED Lighting

We were asked to look at all areas of the school’s lighting, with the aim of reducing energy consumption and improving light quality.

The Solution

We completed a full survey and designed a heating solution using our own brand of INVO Far Infrared heating panels.

We used 600x600 and 600x1200 ceiling mounted and grid based recessed panels. For the controls we used Salus wireless room thermostats along with our own distribution boxes.
This allows each classroom to manage their own heating needs, or be centrally controlled.

Due to the instant heat up ability of the new INVO panels, the school could set the heating to come on 10 minutes before the school opened up, removing the need for costly storage heating and heating the school at weekends.
